Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to the heart or extracardiac causes ( pleuritis, pericarditis, etc).

How long have you had those symptoms?

If the pain has started today and is persistent, I recommend going to the ER for a careful physical examination and some tests :

- complete blood count
-a resting ECG and cardiac enzymes
- a chest X ray study
- PCR and sedimentation rate for inflammation.

If these symptoms occur tome after time and have been going on for some days, I recommended consulting with your doctor for the above tests. A cardiac stress test would also be necessary.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
