What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Back Area?

Question: I am having sharp pain in my lower back area, inside and not muscular/skeletal- possibly in area of kidney. I had severe gas during my run this AM and some discolored urinal discharge yesterday. Can you tell me what could be the problem?

Shooting pain in lower back area is mostly due to stone in kidney and has to be ruled out .

1) What were the two prostate surgeries you have undergone for ?

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
