Question : I started having a sharp needle like pain in my lower leg toward the side. It goes away as I'm still. Long pants seem to rub it and it feels like chapped skin, but it is not chapped.

You can get some relief by lying flat on your back on hard bed, avoid bending of the back bone as bending over to pick anything form the floor, avoid carrying or lifting any weight and such activities.
