What Causes Sharp Pain In Vagina And Brown Discharge After 4 Days Of IVF Embryo Transfer?

Question: Hello,
I am 8 days post ivf transfer of 5 day blastocysts.
It has been seemingly normal thus far. On day 4 after the transfer I had a small brown discharge with no pain or abnormal symptoms. The clinic said it could be a good sign of implantation.
Last night, day 7, I had a lot of right ovary tinglings and sharp pain, the pain also carried to my lower back on the same side with a faint pulsing pain on the same spot. Very uncomfortable overnight.
This morning I woke up -day 8- after I urinated I wiped myself and their was a clear fluid that was a dirty pink/brown color. When I went to insert my progesterone, the insert I used had a dirty XXXXXXX residue on it when I removed it, mixed with the remains of the progesterone, so it was opaque.
I only seemed to have a bit more of a brown residue this morning and now all is clean.
The ovary pain is back but less strong, now also on my left ovary, with a mild burning sensation.
It feels like my period is coming.
I have my blood test tomorrow to find out if it worked....I'm nervous and preparing myself for a negative result...I'm scared and sad
Any advice?

Brief Answer:
It can be sure on the Laboratory test tomorrow !

Thanks for consulting and your trust in HCM means a lot to me as a Physician.
I have completely reviewed your health query, and well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.

It is all going fine right from the start to now. There is no major issue if you kept using the progesterone as prescribed.

In IVF such bleeds on wiping is normal and very common. Now as it has been more than a week, it is the right time to see if the implantation went right. And reviewing the whole scenario I am hopeful that it will be positive and you may have conceived. Better is to relax and go for the Lab test tomorrow. The more you get worried and apprehensive, more will it be weird and disturbing for you and this emotional imbalance is not good at this stage of a week after IVF.

Hope I answered all of your queries. Let me know if you have further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you.
