Question : Hello,
Im having twitchy sharp pains in the left side of my body near my kidney and ribs.

I have been having gas all day.

trapped gas in the chest...I have had gastritis in the past and Im concerned its back a little. but this pain in my right side is really sharp and twitchy.

Can you please specify if its a right or left side pain? Do you have any nausea, lack of appetite with it? Does the pain get worse after foods intake? Do you have any frequent urinating, burning while urinating?

its on the right side.
Its accompanied by gastritis type discomfort
I will get a bloated chest and its released by painful burps in my esophagus.

by painful burps I mean it gives me a sharp feeling behind my sternum when the burp is finally released.

Gallstones can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Right side pain is very often caused by gallstones. It can give gastritis symptoms as well as painful burping. Acid reflux can be the additional condition worsened by gallstones.
Gallstones pain very often radiates to the right shoulder.
Abdominal ultrasound is what you should do as the next step. In a meanwhile please avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee and alcohol.
