Brief Answer:
You have a cyst in your ovary that is normal in early pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

When you ovulate, the spot where your egg left your ovary to meet the sperm grows into a cyst (all cyst means is a fluid filled space) which produces hormones to support a pregnancy if conception occurs. That cyst, called a corpus luteum, makes hormones until the end of the first trimester. So most women will have some discomfort from the cyst but it is normal and will disappear after the first trimester

So the symptoms you describe are very common and do not indicate any problems.

I hope i adequately answered your question and that my advice was helpful. if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me further.

Best wishes, Dr. Brown
