2. Humalog insulin pen ( now taking 26 points in the morning and 16 points in evening)
3. Insulatard (now taking 26 points at 10.30pm every night)
after taking the morning dose of insulin she is shivering

Brief Answer:
Dear sir, nothing to worry , continue the mwdications regularly

Detailed Answer:
Deae sir, Greetings fro. HCM. Shivering is non specific symptom. Symptoms like giddiness , excess sweating, palpitations, are symptoms of hypoglycemia. She need to take correct dose of insulin dose and medicines also not to take nutritious food. Or else she might go for hypoglycemia which is more dangerous. Controlling sugar levels are very important as that might affect growing baby. Meanwhile, ask her to relax no undue stress and pressure. Check the sugar levels properly. Later better to switch over to insulin pen completely till dilivery. Anyway meet your doctor and take the final option thanks a lot

Brief Answer:
Dear sir, check HbA1c levels

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, glucometer values will not be that accurate . Please check the HbA1c levels . If it is below 6.5% it s ok . Also get the fasting and 2 hour post prandial blood glucose in a good lab. If the values are high you can increase the dose of insulin. Some times it is very difficult to control sugar levels. It keeps rising, So check the sugar levels, and fix the dose of insulin accordingly . Even 120 to 130 is permissible now . Diet is also important. Take more of protein rich food, avoid carbohydrates completely. Take more of green leafy vegetables, fruits and other fiber rich foods . Walk at least an hour a day . You can take second opinion too. Thanks

Brief Answer:
no need to reduce

Detailed Answer:
Dear friend, you ask her to continue the same set of medications regularly. You do not reduce the dose yourself. You need to see your doctor and get the final openion . As for as me I will suggest you to continue the same and adjust the dose based on the sugar levels . Keeping the sugar levels under check is the most important thing now . Thanks
