Question : I am a 63 year old white female. I weigh 240 and have a shooting pain up the right side of my leg from my ankle to my knee.
Brief Answer:
Sciatica
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
You seem to be having a pinched nerve due to possible arthritis of the spine leading to sciatica.
Avoid bending forwards or lifting weights. Apply hot packs to the painful regions. Perform physiotherapy for low back muscle strengthening and leg strengthening exercises.
Do get an Xray of the lumbosacral spine.
You can take Tablet Paracetamol/Acetaminophen 500mg thrice a day for pain relief.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
