Question: low energy. I have been getting fatigued easier than normal when active (past several weeks). currently have slightly swollen and sore lymph node under chin (left side). node has been slightly swollen and sore (off and on) for several weeks. sore area in left side of neck above clavicle this area has been consistently sore (mildly) for several weeks (fells like a sore tendon or artery when you push fingers to left of trachea and above clavicle). chest tightness that comes and goes for no apparent reason (even when just sitting). some shortness of breath with exertion (more so than is usual for me when walking up hills (past two weeks). mild headaches daily for past several days) in different areas of head that come and go (headaches have been at base of skull left temple and front left side of skull. mild ache in low back comes and goes (just an ache that does not feel like your usual sore muscle or muscle strain).

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Since the lymph node enlargement and shortness of breath developed at the same time there are two possible considerations here- either viral bronchitis or bacterial pneumonia. Viral infections will subside on its own without any treatment. However, Bacterial infections require treatment with antibiotics. So it is important to rule out possible bacterial pneumonia. Atypical pneumonia can present without fever or other overt symptoms.
Please be advised to undergo chest Xray and sputum gram staining to rule out underlying pneumonia. You can follow up with your primary provider or urgent care to get the necessary investigations done and initiate antibiotics if needed.

Hope this answers your question
