What Causes Shrinking And Expanding Of The Areola?

Question: my areola shrinks and expands with minutes..im scared even the colour of the areola keeps changing from light brown to dark brown and vice versa..what could be the reason?

When you are aroused it can shrink and tubercle like projections may be seen.At times it can happen in cold weather too . accordingly the color may also change.If it is returning to normal color it is ok.
Unless there is pain or any lump beneath areola you need to worry.

thanks doctor - there is no pain under the areola however there is pain that comes and goes in my breast in general. so should i be rest assured that there is nuthing because as i mentioned the size expands and shrinks within minutes or hours..this has been haoprning for the past three days..and my btrast feels fuller too.
