What Causes Sickness After Eating In A Alcoholic Person?

default
Posted on Wed, 30 Mar 2016
Question: I had outpatient umbilical hernia surgery back in Sept. I've seen my surgeon on a regular basis however I seem to get sick after each time I eat. I do drink a lot of beer and smoke. Would that be causing the problem. I am also on pain medication. Can you give me some advice?

Brief Answer:
Smoking and beer the cause. Modify diet and lifestyle

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Gastric discomfort symptoms and feeling of sickness followed by meals intake are likely attributed to smoking and beer both these are stimulants to gut and cause IBS like symptoms. Hernia repair surgery few months ago is unlikely the cause.
Just modify diet and lifestyle and eat small frequent meals , quit alcohol , beer smoking etc , avoid spices , stimulants , processed canned foods and prefer natural fresh fruits and vegetables and fibrous diet. Use yogurt and peppermint both help in GI symptoms.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
