Posted on Wed, 8 Jul 2015
Question: Tonight while I was washing myself down there, I suck one finger inside to clean it when I pulled out little pieces of skin was floats around the water. I could always feel it when I moved my finger around. At first I thought it was discharge which I get every now and then. But this is new to me. Can someone tell me what it actually is?

Brief Answer:
It is normal, dont worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
It could have been greyish or fleshy discharge.
That often appears like that.
Also, it could have been the outside skin of the vagina which constantly gets exfoliated, and shed off.
SO do not worry.
If you do not have any pain / redness / abnormal bleeding / itching / foul smelling discharge, then there is no cause for concern.
You might have an internal exam by a gynecologist to confirm that this is the case.
Are you sexually active ?
you can upload some pictures by parting your labia minora, if you are sexually active, and I will try and tell you if everything looks normal.
All the best
