What Causes Sleeplessness And Excessive Sweating?

Question: Hello Dr XXXXXXX Heijebu.

My Query is ,I am unable to sleep from past 8 days. After sometime I wake up and sweating are coming.

Sedatives for short period will help.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

You possibly seem to have acute sleep onset insomnia.

This can be treated with a short course of sedatives particularly short acting.

I generally prescribe tab Alprazolam to my patients with such a condition.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe them.

I have an 17 years old brother and he is suffering from asthma. Whenever there is sudden change of weather, for instance the winters arriving, more attacks start upon him during night. I don't know what to do. Kindly prescribe me suitable solution.

You can give him low dose steroids like Budesonide thrice daily during the attack under strict medical supervision of your doctor.
