What Causes Sleeplessness While On Lorazepam?

Question: Went to Physician today with Heart rate of 100 and BP was 160/90. He prescribed Zoloft 100 mg. Have not been able to sleep tonight. Would it be safe to take Lorazepam 1.0 mg.

The use of lorazepam with use of zoloft is completely safe as there are no interactions between them.

However lorazepam being a benzodiazepine should be used in lowest possible dose and 0.5 mg is lowest possible dose.
