Brief Answer:
please tell what medicine u were taking

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have read your query and from that it appears that you have some problems after stopping medicine.
It is difficult to conclude if some of your symptoms are coz of withdrawal of medicne or something else as you have nowhere mentioned the drug which you were taking, its dosage and for what duration.
It would also help to know if you have any comorbiidty like hypertension or not.

Both depressed feeling and poor memory are most probably due to withdrawal of medicine. But for deviation of mouth, tongue and off balance feeling - I would need to know the drugs you were taking and other comorbidities.

Wish you speedy recovery

Ok. So I was on Pristiq 50mg for 4 yrs. i have been pristiq free for a month now. The tingling and off balance has been since but the dropped mouth, memory and confusion has been for a while now. About 6 months before coming off. I have always struggled with blood pressure and it averages at 140/90.
I currently take thyroxin 50ug for the past 2yrs. That is all. The weird thing I feel with the depression that I have never felt before if this strange feeling of dread. I am not suicidal.. quite the opposite.. This feeling of dread is like something bad is going to happen to me. Hard to explain. Just an instinctive feeling at risk of sounding a little mad.

Brief Answer:
need CAT scan head, may start quetiapine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Your complaints of off balance, deviation of mouth, confusion is more likely due to a central nervous system bleed...please get a scan. These bleeds are common in patients with high blood pressure and should be closely monitored..coz they may progress to semi paralysis. Please see your physician and get your self throughly examined; take care of your blood pressure; avoid oily food and extra salt in food/salad/pickles, etc.
Also get your cholesterol checked as it might also be raised.

Rest of the complaints are more due to withdrawal from quetiapine. You had been keeping well on a very low dose of this medicine ..if you continue to have these mood changes and anxiety ( the fear that something bad will happen) or dread- I would recommend that you should restart with 25mg quiteapine Or entre into councelling CBT with a trained psychologist.

I know it is very difficult time for you, both due to bodily reasons and mood problems but all this can be handled, so, please dont worry.

Go to your physician or neurologist- get CAT scan head, and treat deviation of mouth etc.
Get cholesterol tested and revise blood pressure medicine if needed.

And visit your psychiatrist and discuss restarting of quetiapine with a lower dose and entre therpy.

Please avoid tea/coffee and other stimulants as they increase anxiety.

Take more salads and green vegetables, try to be busy and remain social- distraction always help..

Wish you luck.
