Question: Hi Dr XXXXXXX

I want to first thank you for being so patient and answering so many questions. Your answers really help us.

My wife is in the 13th week of her pregnancy. She is having very little light yellow discharge with no odour. Should we be worried ? She is using prenatal vitamins and just stopped taking progesterone supplements ( vaginal inserts ).

Thanks in advance.

Thanks and Regards,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Get a vaginal swab and urine routine done

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing..
You can ask me as many doubts as you want.. I am happy to help you out..

Slight whitish discharge is normal in pregnancy.. Since she has an yellowish discharge, I would suggest to get a vaginal swab for culture and sensitivity done to rule out infection.. Also get a urine routine done.. If both of these are normal, no need to worry.. You can continue with your iron, calcium and aspirin tablet..

Hope I have answered your query.. Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..
