What Causes Slightly Discoloured Itchy Spots On The Scrotum?

default
Posted on Mon, 25 Apr 2016
Question: Hello, I got a slightly discolored spot on my scrotum, and now have a couple of those spots. They don't hurt at all and I itching seems occasional and not exsessive. They are maybe slightly raised, and smooth in appearance, sometimes looking like dry skin. They have been there for a couple months now and do not know what they are symptoms of. I regularly get checked at the local clinic. What could this mean?

Brief Answer:
Either psoriasis or eczema

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcare magic

I have reviewed the attached photographs and according to me their are 2 possibilities:

Either psoriasis or eczema

In either of the condition I recommend my patients to apply topical steroids like Clobetasol propionate cream on the affected areas twice daily along with antihistaminic like tablet Chlorpheniramine 4 mg once daily at bedtime for 2 weeks.

These steroidal preparations are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

Dr Asmeet
