What Causes Slow Rising HCG Levels In Early Pregnancy?

Question: Hello, my last period was 4/26/15, I ovulated and conceived 5/9/15, I spotted on 5/12/15 and then again 5/18/15, I got a positive test result on 5/27/15 and had blood work done that day and had a HCG level of 32 and progesterone level of 21.3, then on 5/26/15 again had blood test and HCG level of 109 and progesterone of 23.8. What do you think is going on? I am worried!

I understand your concerns about rising beta hCG levels.

Your serum beta hCG has raised from 32 to 109 in just one day that is 26th to 27th which is good thing. It means you are definitely pregnant.

Serum beta hCG blood test should rise and double every 48 hours. Hence by that standard your values are good and not to worry.

Thank you for your resonse, I am sorry I wrote it unclear. My first beta was done on 5/22/15 at level of 32 and the second was done 5/26/15 and that level was at 109.
Sorry I told you the wrong date my first beta was taken 5/27/15 and had a HCG level of 32 and progesterone level of 21.3, then on 5/26/15 again had a beta and HCG level of 109 and progesterone of 23.8. What do you think is going on?

As per your dates, the values have almost doubled every 2 days and it appears normal. Hopefully it goes on doubling like this.

Please test beta hCG levels again after 2 days. If you see improvements with doubling as in now, there is nothing to worry.

Start progesterone supplements now as progesterone is on lower side.

Thank you! I have an appointment to get another beta on monday. As for the progesterone supplements, I dont know how to go about getting those? Is it something I can get over the counter?

Good morning. I wanted to follow up and let you know that I had a lot of bleeding lastnight. I took another home preg test and it came up positive? Am I misscaring?
