Question : Hi, sorry in asking this again because the last doctor couldn't understand what I was saying. I have an area under my right knee where no hair is growing, it's slightly rough and can feel small bumps to the touch and feels a little dryer than the surrounding skin. I work twice a week in a supermarket, which involves a lot of bending down on to that knee, and was thinking this is a possible reason. I was just wondering what you think the cause might be, thanks

Brief Answer:
Possible diagnosis: Tinea versicolor

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Thank you for trusting us for your health concern

I have gone through your query and reviewed the attached pictures. Your symptoms are likely due to fungal infection (tinea versicolor). Repeated friction to the area can contribute to such fungal infection. Please be advised to keep the area clean and dry. I understand that your job requires bending down on the knee. But if possible, try avoiding repeated friction to the area until the infection clears up.
Apply over the counter Lotrimin ointment to the affected area for 2 weeks. The fungal infection will clear up in 10-14 days. And once the infection clears up, the hair will regrow.

Hope this answers your question

Hello again,

I have reviewed the picture you attached. There are few moles on either legs. But they also look harmless and benign. There is nothing to be worried about.
