Brief Answer:
Rash

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question and viewed the picture.

The appearance of the bumps is consistent with a virus. This particular one looks like something called "Molluscum Contagiosum" The name sounds terrible, but it is not nearly as bad as it sounds. They may get a little bigger, but ultimately they fade and go away without any intervention.
Though typical viral rashes resolve in 1-2 weeks, Molluscum usually lingers for longer longer than that, even up to several weeks. There is really nothing to do for it. I advise, however, that at his next regularly scheduled checkup with his pediatrician, you point it out so it can be properly followed until it resolves.
