What Causes Small Cuts On Penis Shaft After Masturbation?

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Dec 2015
Question: Hi, about a year ago I was masturbating and started to bleed from a rough scrape or a cut along the middle of the back of the shaft of my penis. Its probably more of a scrape or burn than a cut. After that I went over 2 months without masturbating and tried putting, at different points, neosporin, aloe vera, and one other cream on the area. It improved some but was still there. It has bothered me over the last year to the point I haven't tried to have sex and only masturbate once or twice a week at the most. I started to use Man 1 Man Oil about 6 weeks ago and the cut has maybe improved a little but is still noticeable and bothers me non stop. I'm hoping sending some photos you can tell me if its something worse or what I can do. Its been over a year now and the thing still has not healed and I don't know what to do. I can't believe a normal scrape/cut would not have healed on its own in over a years time. Im also worried about it getting deeper to the point it starts bleeding again. I don't want to visit a doctor but I have no idea what else I can try doing to help this heal for good.

Brief Answer:
Need to take antibiotic, and proper dressing of the wound.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have sustained injury to shaft of the penis due to rough ,vigorous masturbation which has been not healing since a year .

Looking at the photographs that you have uploaded it seems that it has resukted in to Chronic non healing ulcer over shaft of the penis

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1)Have you checked your blood sugar levels to see whether your Diabetes is under control or not?
2) Have you cleaned the wound with anti microbial solution and have done proper dressing daily ?

You need to check your sugar levels to confirm that your Diabetes is well control which is very important for healing of the wound.Take treatment to keep your diabetes under control.

Take antibiotics like Augmentin along with anti inflammatory medicine twice daily .

Clean the entire area with Betadine and dress the wound with Neosporin and cover it with sterile dressing pads to avoid it being getting contaminated .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

This is pretty overwhelming. Is their any way at this point this will heal on its own or am I pretty much going to need to see a doctor? Would I be better off seeing a urologist or a dermatologist?

My blood sugar levels are slightly high but my a1c level is pretty close to normal around 7.2 or 7.3. I have no idea what anti microbial solution is or how to properly dress the wound. Im guessing you don't just put a regular band aid on it. How do I properly dress it?

Are you saying I should take an anti inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen twice a day? How long? I probably also need to see a doctor to get an antibiotic like Augmentin correct? So do i want to stop using the Man 1 man oil and only use neosporin? Do I want to put on Betadine then dress the wound then put neosporin over the dressing or put on Betadine then neosporin on top of that then dress the wound?

If I do all this how long approximately would you say until this will heal?

Brief Answer:
Proper cleaning and dressing is mandatory for fast healing .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

Your Diabetes is not under control hence you need to consult qualified Physician to monitor it nad modify your drugs as per sugar level .Please note proper control of diabetes is the key for success of healing the wound in time .

You can dress the wound yourself at home .
First clean the wound with warm water and then with microbial solution (Betadine ) and then apply Neosporin over the affected area and cover it with sterile gauze pad dressing which is freely available in Pharmacy .

Taking anti inflammatory medicine like Diclofenac will help to control the inflammation and infection .

You need to get the prescription of drugs from your family Physician .

Thanks and Regards.

Should I clean and dress the wound once or twice a day? Should I have it uncovered at all during the day to let it breath or have it covered 24 hours a day? If I do all this properly approximately how long should it take to heal? At what point would I need to for sure see a urologist or dermatologist if it hasn't healed?
