Question : Hi there -
I have noticed a small non-painful lump on my head over the last 2 weeks. I'm not quite sure what to do. There doesn't appear to be any insect bites.
What would be an appropriate course of action? What might this be?

Brief Answer:
Red lump
Detailed Answer:
hello,
the picture is not so clear to judge the possible reasons of lump. it is red and very small. most often the likely non painful lumps are sebaceous cysts coming from sebum glands or oil producing glands. since it is not painful it is not infected yet. these lumps go off on their own if untouched. if you touch them they may be infected. just wash the hair thoroughly thrice a week with selenium sulfide shampoo. over this observe the size of lump as it grows report to a local doctor for analysis.
