What Causes Small Sharp Pain Under Both Big Toes?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Nov 2015
Question: I'm feeling a small sharp pain like a pin prick in the bottom of my left big toe. I've had the same sensation before in another toe. I can't see anything stuck in it, and I don't know what's causing it. It makes me limp.

I'm not sure how this works? Can I just sign off now?

Brief Answer:
Can be due to gout.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the big toe without any history of injury to the area can be due to a joint inflammation. This cam happen due to raised uric acid levels. You need to take a mild anti inflammatory like Motrin and in case this does not help then do consult your orthopedician for a proper examination.
I hope this answers your query.
