Question : I ate a sashimi bowl ( rice, raw tuna, seaweed, spicy sauces, raw vegetable garnishes) (on saturday I think) from a new food court restaurant in a new apartment building. Since then I have been nauseous and I was sneezing Sunday and Monday and thought I was coming down with a cold. But I didn't. Thought I might be having problems with a tooth. Very achy and kind of spacey and even unusually anxious Monday. I also have very watery stools. This hasn't gone away and now I am very fatigued. I have had joint issues in right knee and foot, left calf and shoulder, over the last few days; not sure if its related. Also my feet and back and scalp very itchy last night.
Please advise me if I should have some kind of test or treatment as I have to go out of town next week.
Thanks, XXXXXXX

                                    Brief Answer:
Probably an allergy from seafood!
Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.
I have reviewed your information fully. This is suggestive of an allergy from seafood. There is no need to panic over this and there is no need for immediate medical intervention. This should slowly fade away as the consumed food components gradually get eliminated from the body system.
For now, monitoring is all i recommend. If itches persist, a short course of benadryl is what i will recommend. If anything else comes up, keep me posted. This should in no way influence your trip next week.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

                                    Hi Dr. Ditah,
I felt a little better yesterday afternoon but my feet are extremely (!) itchy today and I feel nauseous and tired. My stools are more normal.
I don't understand why I still feel nauseous if its an allergy.
Thanks, XXXXXXX
