Brief Answer:
Seem to be suffering from
allergic rhinitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting the query on HCM. After going through the query, I would like to comment the following:
1. You seem to be suffering from allergic rhinitis at present.
2. Is this your 1st episode of
sneezing or did you have similar bouts of sneezing in the past? Do you have any associated chest complaints like cough, breathlessness, etc? Any history of fever? Any recent history of dust exposure? Any known allergies? Any family history? Any seasonal variation of symptoms?
3. To my patients with similar complaints, I prescribe an anti allergy
nasal spray eg. Azeflo nasal spray twice a day and oral medications : Tb. Levocetrizine 10 mg to be taken in night at bed time. Avoidance of dust is required. Complete
bed rest for 3 days.
4. Investigations that may be required are serum IgE levels, absolute
eosinophil count, Xray chest /
paranasal sinuses, PFT. (As per clinical evaluation)
4. In the meanwhile, get yourself evaluated by a
ENT specialist / Pulmonologist for detailed workup/ prevention of such episodes in the future.
I hope I have answered your query. I will be glad to answer follow up queries if any. Please accept my answer if you have no follow up queries.
