Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
A viral upper respiratory tract infection by one of common cold viruses or the flu can cause the symptoms that you are experiencing.
(1)You can continue the ibuprofen to help with the sore throat and fever. If on its own it is not effective, you can add paracetamol to this regimen. Because they are from 2 different family of drugs they can be used together.
(2)there are oral sprays or gargles that would also help eg chloroseptic spray or gargle, covonia
These are a combination of anti septic and pain relief and are available without a prescription
(3)rest and using enough fluids (at least 8 to 10 a day) is important
(4)you need to rest your voice
(5)steam inhalation is sometimes helpful in laryngitis
(6)avoid smoke exposure
It can take 1 to 2 weeks in some cases, for most of the symptoms to resolve. Fatigue can sometimes persist even after all of the other symptoms have gone.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
