Question : A couple days ago I gave oral sex to my boyfriend and I swallowed his cum. The next day my throat hurt really bad and today it still hurts. It's hard to swallow but I feel like it might be my tonsils. What should I do?

The best thing to do now is to go to a doctor or clinic for a throat swab which can then be sent to the lab for a test called "Culture and Sensitivity". It is possible that bacteria that were on your boyfriend's skin (not necessarily and STD although that is possible too) caused tonsillitis or pharyngitis.
When they swab your throat it can then be cultured to see what bacteria grow. If a particular type of bacteria grows, it can then be tested to see which antibiotics it is sensitive or resistant to.
Also, the doctor will be able to visualize what your throat looks like and treat it accordingly.
Check your temperature with a thermometer if you have one, so that when you go in to the doctor you can tell him or her whether you have been running a fever with this sore throat. They will check your temperature at the office or clinic too.
In the meantime, if it's difficult to swallow, you can use an over the counter throat numbing spray you can get at a Walgreens or other pharmacy.
But do go in to be seen asap, especially if you are having a hard time swallowing. If you can't swallow at all now, go to an all night urgent care or ER. Otherwise if you are able to wait, go in in the morning.
