Brief Answer:
Can be due to plantar fasciitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The soreness of the ball of the foot can be due to plantar fasciitis or a flat foot.
You can help decrease the pain by massaging the area just after getting up from the bed. Do take a mild pain killer. Applying a local analgesic gel will also help. Do consult an orthopedician in case the pain is persistent.
I hope this answers your query.
