From your description it does not sound as though you injured your knee severely given that there is no swelling, weakness, or limitation of motion.
I think that has happened to all of us - a depression in what we are walking on that makes us unprepared for the deeper step we are about to take!
Most likely you have a mild sprain which should resolve quickly. Usual treatment for a sprain is rest, ice (wrapped in a cloth, not on the skin), and if you have no stomach problems with NSAIDs and the ijury is hurting considerably, then ibuprofen (after you have food in your stomach).
However, as it sounds like any injury was mild, you may not need all of this.
