                                            Question : Hi. For many months now I have had soreness in my lower right rib. Never pain, just sore. If your looking at me it is about two inches to left of right nipple and down 3. I'm male and 38. It's kind of on side. Thank you. It hasn't gotten worse or better.

Here are my answers to your questions
1. It started about 5 months ago , I just noticed it one day. Again soreness , never acute pain
2. I do drink alcohol . About 15 drinks a week . I do not have any problem digesting fatty food.... Although a generally eat healthy
3. Yes...decent amount of stress. I have a calm demeanor but in last 6 months have gotten new job , moved from New York to Florida , have a two year old, finished my masters , bought a house , and had a second job coding a XXXXXXX application nights and weekends

I have studied your case and I think that you might be having gall bladder inflammation also called Cholecystitis. In this condition there is formation of stone in the gall bladder. it is common in Alcoholics and stress lifestyle. it causes pain on right side where you are talking.
I would recommend you to meet your family doctor and discuss these possibility.
He may advised you to get some blood test and ultrasound. I would recommend you to stop taking alcohol as it is most common cause of cholecystitis.
