Question : I am a 48 year old male and about 3 weeks ago my nipples started itching, burning, and are sore? What in the world?

It could be a fungal infection or eczema

Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

Two conditions which commonly cause itching and sore nipples are fungal infection and eczema ( dermatitis). Please consult a dermatologist. A trial of clotrimazole cream twice daily for 2 weeks is usually needed for fungal infection.
