Question : i am experiencing soreness in my right side of upper groin area. There is a red line about 1.5" long with hardness below skin. Could this just be an ingrown hair or should I be checked out.

Brief Answer:
no need for urgent measures

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.
In most cases this is just foliculitis or minor subcutanoeus induration due to allergy or irritation. So at this point you just need to keep area clean and avoid scratching it. if there will be progression of redness then you should take antibiotic and see doctor to evaluate necessity for surgical drainage. Wish you good health. Regards
