Brief Answer:
Blood flow related symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

More information needed about your symptoms such are they accompanied by any leg pain? are they related to position?(standing, laying, sitting), when they started?, do you have noticed any bulging veins in your legs?

Most probably your symptoms are related to blood flow into your legs, so I recommend having done a Doppler ultrasound of legs vessels as a simple and cheap diagnostic tool.

If other symptoms such pain eg. vertebral column and nerve involvement should be assessed.

Hope this helps. If you have further questions or clarifications, feel free to ask, if not, you can close the conversation and rate the answer.

Wishing you good health.

I have had swelling of my lower legs for few years. But I do sit a lot (work on computer all day). When I walk my thighs will get numb. (walking or standing for a long period). The left calf when I have numb running through for a few seconds, I am normally sitting down. (driving or relaxing at home)

Brief Answer:
Doppler ultrasound needed.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,

In this case, your condition still needs to be evaluated about probable deep veins thrombosis of your legs.

As I said before, Doppler ultrasound of legs vessels is a feasible imaging tool to evaluate correctly this possibility of your concerns.

You should discuss with your primary care Doctor about having this test done.

Hope this helps. Best regards.
