Brief Answer:
rule out possible cause for bleeding.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your details and understand your concerns.

Bleeding after menopause is not normal and needs to be investigated.

The possible causes could be a local lesion like polyp or cervical erosions. This will be assessed by internal (pelvic) examination by your doctor.

Other than this, the more serious causes like endometrial hyperplasia and cancer and cervical cancer must also be ruled out.
For this, pelvic ultrasound and endometrial and cervical biopsy would be needed.

Ablation is the procedure to remove excess endometrial growth. It is a day-care procedure.

You can carry out with your routine activities of daily living. There is no restrictions for this.

Hope this helps you.
If feasible, kindly discuss your doctor's opinion here in follow-up.

I wish you well.
Thanks.

IF the dr. chooses ablation, should i rest the next day or expect to go to hand therapy; we are working to improe broken hand from 2 yrs. ago.
This is probably the 3rd episode of light bleeding in 2 years. WAhen they did pelvic ultrasound before at another dr's, nothing showed up, but it was a cervical infection. It always hurts at cervix when they do the pelvic exam. Today there is n o bleeding on a pad, but when I wipe after pee, there is a little vaginal blood. Barely mild cramps - is it ok to take tylenol when I have cram ps? We were trying to have me cut back on TYlenol since my ALT, AST has been 2 points too high. Today I have taken 2 doses of 1 extra strength tylenol (1 to feel beter in morning, 1 for cramps, headache). Is there anything to ask the dr.?
Most likely will they do the ultrasound on Monday, the dr. day?

Brief Answer:
bleeding is mostly because of cervical infection.

Detailed Answer:
hello,

sorry for late response.

As you told that there was a cervical infection. In my opinion, bleeding is most probably because of cervical erosions or in serious case it may be due to cervical cancer.which can be confirmed by internal examination or radiology investigations.

if your doctor told you about ablation that means there is cervical erosions mostly.

you can carry out your normal activities from the next day onwards after ablation.

Tylenol may cause liver dysfunction.i advise you not to take it.

To confirm cervical infection, you should ask for pap smear or cerival biopsy from your gynecologist.

you should take one course of antibiotics, avoid sex till infection clears up,take healthy diet.

hope it helps,

feel free to ask further.

thanks.
