Brief Answer:
Could be ovulatory spotting or spotting due to PCOS.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
PCOS is characterized by irregular cycles.
This could be midycle ovulation spotting, that is the most likely explanation.
Again , with PCOS it could be erratic spotting that often occurs in between cycles.
Have you been sexually active ?
It is anyways too early to take a pregnancy test.
These are all symptoms of mild hormonal imbalance, that are characteristic of PCOS.
So do not worry about it.
If you have been sexually active, take a test in another 2 weeks.
Was the period that you had on 14th XXXXXXX a normal one ?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

Thank you for the reply.
I had a normal period on XXXXXXX 14. I also had a 2 day period on 13 May 2015. Prior to that I had a normal 3-4 day periods in April and Mar. I was on birth control pill until Nov 2014 ( so my cycle was always on time) and had no periods from Dec 2014 till Feb 2015.
Yes I am sexually active. I am 30 years old and we are trying to have a baby now.
What are the chance of ovulation during periods, I felt I had white discharge even during my periods and after that. Is there a possibility of me ovulating during periods and that this bleeding ( on and off) could be implantation ( I may be wrong here) ?
Please help me with your advice to have better chances of conceiving with PCOS. I am already on Glucophage , Folic acid and Duphatson.
Do you think I should go and meet a doctor to discuss this mid cycle bleeding?
I may be able to take a test only after 2 weeks' time to see the result though.

Let me clarify a few facts.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the appreciation.
Let me clarify a few facts.
You cannot ovulate during periods.
Ovulation happens 2 weeks after the periods begin.
So this spotting might be ovulatory spotting or a period that has come earlier than usual.
It cannot be implantation spotting.
Now, please let me know a few more things.
Since how long are you trying to conceive ?
What is your height and weight ?
Please respond .

Brief Answer:
Work up needed

Detailed Answer:
okay.
Please try to conceive around days of ovulation.
Please remain sexually active from day 10 to day 20 of your cycle, counting first day of bleeding as day 1
.
if you do not conceive within 6 months, please get following workup done -
Semen analysis of husband.
Hormonal tests FSH, LH, TSH Prolactin, DHEAS , free testosterone, lipid profile and pelvic ultrasound scan.
Then go for three cycles of follicular monitoring that involves tracking the growth of the egg follicle via serial ultrasound scans till ovulation is confirmed.
Take regular folic acid supplements.
Try and reduce your weight , as PCOS improves with weight loss.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
