Question : I am a 52 year old African-American female that had her Fibroids removed back in XXXXXXX of 2017 thru a UFE procedure. I continued to have a cycle until October (last full cycle). Since early March, I have been spotting/bleeding almost daily. Not enough to wear a pad for protection, but every time I use the restroom and wipe, there is blood. Sometimes it is so dark and it has a bad odor. What's wrong with me? Is this normal?

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

No, it is not normal.
It has been almost a year so the fibroids could recur or there could be another reason for the bleeding, such as endometrial hyperplasia or adenomyosis.

Please get a recent ultrasound scan done and a Pap smear if one is not recently done.

All the best
