Brief Answer:
Possibly due to insufficient hormone dose.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

If you continued with the twice-a-day regime until the bleeding stopped, then it would usually suffice to take the medication once-a-day. Spotting can also be a side effect of the medication as well as due to inadequate hormone levels.

Several factors like general health, body weight and stress influence the optimum hormone doses in each individual; a dose which is sufficient for one person may be inadequate in another.

If you can furnish me the details of your previous menstrual history and any other significant information, it would be useful for further suggestions.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
