Question : Hello I have recently been on antibiotics - keflex- for tonsilitis I have an IUD XXXXXXX and have gotten a period which I haven't had in 2 years- have had the IUD 3 years - i have occasionly had a little spotting but not a period. I have felt for the strings and the seem to be in place and I have done a pregnancy test and it is negative XXXXXXX

Mirena will give you contraceptive cover.

This is just a small breakthrough bleeding. Antibiotics or any other medicines wont affect it.
