Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.
First of all, it is sad to know what you had been experiencing lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be migraine or cluster headache though possibility of neuralgic headaches needs to be ruled out. For many type of headaches the exact origin remains unknown and usually responds to few doses of analgesics like acetaminophen. Though if severe it may need duloxetine or carbamezapine for few days.
Meanwhile rule out any history of ear aches, local tenderness, swelling or discharge and if any it may need to be evaluated in detail by an ENT specialist and respective radiographic evaluation may be needed.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
