Brief Answer: Possibility of fissure in anus Detailed Answer: Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day Dear Ms Presence of stabbing pain in anal and vaginal area suggest the possibility of anal fissure as likely cause. Diagnosis will depend on clinical examination. Predisposing factors are 1. Reduced intake of water 2. Low fiber diet U would suggest you the following which will definitely help 1. Ensure good intake of water : 2 to 3 liter of water per day 2. Hot seitz bath; to a tub of lukewarm water add handful of common table salt. Sit in it immersing your bottom for 15 to 20 minutes each session twice a day. It will be very helpful in reducing the muscle spasm 3. Lack like Lactulose 10 ml once a day will be helpful 4. Local application of Xylocaine Ointment to anal opening after hot seitz bath will be helpful. It would be more informative if you could provide clinical picture. Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you. Take care Best Regards Dr Deepak Kishore MBBS, MS, MCH Consultant Surgeon
