Hi,
Proximal fold and cuticle of the finger tip become damaged in vitamin deficiencies. I recommend you to take multivitamin supplements on daily basis for a period of two months. This will for sure solve the problem within a minimum of a few months.

Dietary corrections
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
A two month course will suffice to prevent deficiencies for the next 6 months or so. Vitamin deficient diet could be the base cause here. Correcting the diet by consuming vitamin rich foods or correcting any sort of digestion disturbances if you have can be permanent solution for this problem.
