I have carefully read your query and understand your concern.
Since your tests came out negative,a neurological cause is now a very less likely possibility.
Sensation of stinging all over the body can be due to a recent or remote wasp/insect bite which might have gone unnoticed.
In all such cases the following is recommended
1.A very cool shower twice a day.
2.Antihistaminics like desloratidine
3.Oral steroids like methyl prednisolone.
4.Oral albendazole,antiparrasitic drug.
Note these drugs should be taken only under strict medical supervision.

Sometimes it feels like a poking sensation, and it does hurt a little bit. At times it feels like I am being poked with a needle. I doubt I was stung by a wasp. What else can it be, as the feelings persist? This occurs at any part of my body. I am a bus driver and my job entails a great deal of sitting. Do you think this has anything to do with it?

There is a high chance that you might have had an insect/wasp sting as you are more prone to travelling. Travelling exposes you to lot of insect species
Wasp stings can produce generalized body discomfort in the form of poking or pricking sensation.
I recommend you use insect screens for your bus to protect yourself and discuss regarding the instructions given in my previous reply with your local GP.
