Brief Answer:
Second opinion and investigations

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

The pain even after completing the course of a good antibiotic is suggestive of an inflammatory process still going on in the abdomen. The pain is unlikely to be due to Metkind Spas tablet. ( if there was no pain why was it taken?) This needs to be investigated.

I would advise in such a patient:
* To take an opinion of a General Surgeon.
*Investigation :
Blood - CBP- Complete Blood Picture
Blood Sugar, urea, creatinine and other as advised by the Surgeon on . clinical examination. Widal - may need to be repeated after a few days.
Urine -Routine and microscopy.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen. This may give a clue and support the clinical . diagnosis.
CT Scan if the ultrasonography is positive - to confirm the diagnosis.

Hello Doc,
Thanks for your reply. Kindly refer the uploaded scan reports.

I want to add details to my previous query. The pain killer prescribed to my wife was due to an abortion performed by my doctor. My wife had copper T and her LMP was 21-May-2014. We visited doctor on 28-june-2014, to find out why she didn't get menses on the expected date for the XXXXXXX month. Then our doc diagnosed it was due to the dislocation of copper T and she had conceived.
We took scan and decided to abort.

My doc gave four unknown tablets (2 for oral suspension and 2 in vagina) in two days span. Followed by this my wife was having bleeding for six days in a row.
My doc also prescribed the above mentioned anti-biotics and pain killer tablets and advised to take pain killer only if she gets pain.

Other than this my wife does not have any other problem. Prior to this incident we took abdominal and pelvis scan on 09-june-2014 due to stomach ache which my wife had then. The scan concluded everything normal.

I attached both the reports for your perusal…

I just want to know why suddenly she got severe stomach ache yesterday night. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Brief Answer:
It may be due to a clot or tablets.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Read the history, I would have liked that you would have this history in the first query itself.

What is the nature of the pain? Is it in the lower abdomen?
Is there bleeding still continued on?
Is she passing clots?

If there was no pain in abdomen with this tablet in the past, it is not likely to cause pain now. It may be due to a clot also and the tablets taken for abortion too can cause lots of pain in the abdomen. Almost all patients with similar history and medicines give history of pain.

If the pain is due to clot, it will continue till the clot is expelled.

hello doctor,

Thanks for your clarification. please find my answers below

What is the nature of the pain? Is it in the lower abdomen?
=> yes the pain is in the lower abdomen and nature of the pain is like on and off for five minutes and feels like a 'pinching pain' inside abdomen.
Is there bleeding still continued on?
=> yes the bleeding is continuing and it is now the sixth day.
Is she passing clots?

is there anything to worry about it? or is it expected to be relieved of the pain once the clot is expelled?

Thanks in advance for your answers and support.

Brief Answer:
Nothing much to worry about

Detailed Answer:
Thanks again for your feedback.
There is nothing much worry about.
The pain may continue till the clot, the product and may be the copper T is expelled. Please ask Madam to check for these ( if it is possible for her).

It may take a few more days to get the problem settled.
Some patients may required suction evacuation is the condition does not improve. This is of course the Treating Doctor- your Gynecologist to decide.

I hope Her hemoglobin is normal, Please see that there is no weakness and she does take adequate diet and fluids.

I know it is difficult but persuade her.
