My 4 year old daughter complains of stomach pain after her food and her stomach was twitching so doctor has prescribed junior lanzol half tablet twice for 5 days. He told her diaphragm must be irritated that's why twitching now it has reduced but still I can feel it while she is sleeping every 20 minutes or so. What can be the problem. This is happening from 2 weeks after she drank soda for the first time
It could be due to abdominal distention

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through the question. Although it is hard to comment on the cause without examining the child, I will give you some suggestions that might help.
* Give her Colicaid Drops 1 ml when required, especially before going to sleep after food. If it is due to abdominal distention, it should provide relief.
* Give her 1 or 2 teaspoonfuls of isabgol husk daily after dinner. It should help in regularising the bowel movements and should provide relief.
* You may give junior lanzol if you feel required.
Hope that helps.

A video EEG is more preferable in such a case
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking back.
Sleep myoclonus generally occurs due to problem with receptors to neurotransmitters like serotonin. It is generally benign or harmless. However infection needs to be excluded as a possible cause. Otherwise it does not require treatment or symptomatic treatment may be given. It is hard to predict how long it will be there but it can take a while.
