What Causes Stomach Pain After Eating Food In Children?

Question : My Son is compaining of stomach ache 4-5 times a day since yesterday. When ever he eats he says his stomach(lower abdomen) is paining. After drinks water and 5 mins he feels good. He passes normal stool, seems little stickyness. Please advice .

Hi... I need more information before guiding you further. Please answer the questions below -

1. Is the pain abdomen associated with vomiting and if so what color is the vomitus?
2. Is there any pain while voiding urine?
3. Is there any fever with chills and rigors?
4. Does he pass motion soon after feeds?
5. Is he handling his genitals or anal region or complain of itching at the anus?
6. Does he grind teeth at night or during sleep?

Follow up: Dr. Sumanth Amperayani (1 hour later)

No symptoms for all 6 questions. He is having only complains of pain after meal. and feels ok after 5 mins. No more pain anytime during the day except while eating. His diet is normal and passes urin and stoll normal. Only some stickyness is stoll.

If I were your pediatrician, I would suggest -

1. Syrup Albendazole 10ml today and another 10ml 10 days later.

2. Tablet Junior Lanzol 15mg 1 daily in early morning on empty stomach for 7 days.

I have started medicine as below
Tablet Junior Lanzol 15mg 1 daily in early morning on empty stomach
Syrup Mebex 10 ml twice a day for 3 days (as prescribed by my pediatrician earlier)

I guess this is fine.
