Question : My wife is taking amitriptyline hydrochloride(amilin plus 12.5mg),today she had gone out for lunch and since she came back she is complaining of churning and stomach ache she passed a bad smelling stool aswell,what medicines should or can she take,plz also suggest a pain relif medicine she is allowed to take?no fever or vomit till now.

Stool analysis may be done to confirm it.

The following medications may be taken.
1. T.Ciprofloxacin 500 mg 1-0-1 for 7 days
2. T.Metronidazole 400 mg 1-1-1 for 7 days
3. T.Cyclopam 1-0-1 till she gets relief from pain
