Question : My 14 yr old son has a slight stomach ache along with a headache but no fever or what not

he is acting little sluggish but still playing around
is there anything I can give for the stomach ache

Brief Answer:
As he is playing, it is not severe.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
A child with significant amount of abdominal pain
will not play.As he is playing,it could be minor pain.
The diagnosis depends on the site of the pain of the abdomen .For example,If it is in the lower right corner of the abdomen, it could be due to Appendicitis or Right side Ureteric stone .Ultrasound abdomen will confirm the diagnosis.
If there is diffuse abdominal pain, I will give Tablet Meftal spas to my patients.
If you want to exclude any major problem, please consult your doctor and get an Ultrasound abdomen.
