What Causes Stomach Pain, Low Body Temperature And Lack Of Appetite?

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Mar 2015
Question: My 10 year old son was sent home from school early today because he complained of stomachs and had a temp of just 97. I've taken his temp several times in the last 6 hrs, and it's always low . The last one was 95.5! I've never dealt with a child having low temp before. His tummy has been fine for hours now,but he has no appetite. Otherwise he seems fine.

Brief Answer:
I will recomemnd you dress him warm....try what he loves most to eat!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what your son experienced today. I have reviewed the information fully and there is really no red flag at this time. The temperature is slightly below the normal limit. I believe this is probably related to cold temperatures. Please, dress him warm. For the loss of appetite, I will recommend just monitoring for now. Try different food stuffs and mostly what he always has pleasure eating. All should be normal pretty soon. If anything else comes up, please let me know of.

I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
