Question : Hi Dr. Chandrakant,
The Dr. Was at the hospital so the Nurse called and talked to me. Doing better but stomach is still swollen some but does not hurt now. Nurse told me to start eating and she talked to me on 2 days, getting better so she said that was a very good sign. Eating helped relieve some of empty stomach pain. Many thanks for your help. Relieved so much to read that Nurse told you to start eating and eating helped relieve some of empty stomach pain.
Empty stomach pain means hunger pains - having normal appetite sensation is one of the best symptoms that one has and if the pain is relieved by food, it is a very positive sign that everything will be normal.
I hope drinking and eating are not causing any symptoms now since colonoscopy was performed on Dec 13.
Since the bowel was prepared for colonoscopy, the bacterial flora is also washed and it may take some time for it to resume to normal balance. Pre and probiotics may help to resume the normal bacterial flora to normal and relieve the bloating/swelling. Please ask the Nurse if pre and probiotics can be started if not started already. Let the Nurse decide as she knows the best timing to start it.
