Brief Answer:
It could be obesity and gerd

Detailed Answer:
if you have through cardiac evaluation and CT pul than there generally shouldn't be any missed cardiac issues. This could mainly be related to your weight and could be component of Gastro esophageal reflux. Loosing weight and cutting down on alcohol might help.
I did not see you mention anything about echocardiogram and tread mill test in your history. if they have never been done it's worthwhile to get them done to make sure there nothing missed on heart.
about blood thinner could be initial thought and subsequently if everything is normal they might have decided against it.

1. what is "gerd"?
2. Is it possible, at my age, 43, to lose my beer belly, if i cut down my drinking and diet?
3. Is there any medication that will speed up my metabolism? help me lose weight
4. What blood thinner medication, would you recommend?

Brief Answer:
No safe medicines to loose weight

Detailed Answer:
GERD is Gastro esophageal reflux disease, it's a condition in which acid from your stomach regurgitate into your food pipe or esophagus and cause chest or heart burn. It can be treated with antacids or proton pump inhibitors.
yes at any age it's possible to loose weight. Cutting down rather stopping beer is must. No safe medicines for weight loss so you have do it with diet and exercise. As of now I am not suggesting any blood thinners to you
